Granite & Marble Specialties (G&M) is a locally owned one-stop shop offering an unmatched array of premium granite and marble countertop solutions. G&M retails, wholesales, fabricates and installs natural stone countertops throughout the Seattle and Puget Sound area. Their 30,000-square-foot showroom gives customers the chance to browse an extensive collection of natural stones and consult a G&M expert in person.


Like many small businesses, G&M’s website was dated and in need of a facelift. The challenge was to build an aesthetically pleasing website that resonated with the target market through clean, modern and responsive design across any device – all while ranking highly in search engines.


We built G&M’s site around the company’s impressive portfolio of premium natural stone countertops by showcasing what the end products might look like in a finished kitchen or bathroom. Our strategy centered around crafting a brand narrative that solved the user’s problem, and we displayed this message prominently on the homepage to illustrate how G&M builds trust with their clients as a full-service consultant through an otherwise imposing process. We augmented that trust by presenting the target market with social proof in positive reviews, along with G&M’s extensive experience, accolades, guarantee and sheer excellence in customer service. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, we designed the site strategically to guide the user to a conversion, triggered by a strong, recurring call to action throughout.


Ranking locally for granite, marble and kitchen remodeling in various cities across the Pacific Northwest is no easy task. We started with a thorough keyword analysis made actionable by recommendations of where and how to target the most effective keywords. To rank well in local cities, we formulated keyword-driven (but not keyword-stuffed) case studies highlighting G&M client success stories. This enabled us to create content that engages users while catering to their search tendencies, keeping them on the site longer and thus increasing the likelihood of conversion.


Sayenko Design built a website that essentially brings the G&M showroom to the user’s computer or mobile device. The idea was to make the target user visualize what a granite, quartz, or marble slab will look like in their newly remodeled kitchen or bathroom and feel inspired.


Granite & Marble Specialties now enjoys a gorgeous user interface that captivates the audience with vivid photography of beautiful kitchens, bathrooms and cabinetry.
